S2Games and iGames Strike LAN Deal

It was recently announced that S2Games and iGames, a worldwide LAN Center company, have struck an intriguing deal that makes Heroes of Newerth more LAN friendly while also exposing new players to the game.
With the new deal, players are able to create an account and play at a LAN center for free. They will have access to the same servers, the same heroes and the same maps as everyone else. The only thing you as the customer must do is pay for a seat at the center. This provides the best LAN experience and allows for anyone to truly “try before you buy.”
Prior to the deal, LAN centers were forced to have multiple shared accounts for their players. Since these were community accounts, it was impossible to track your stats or create your own customized game settings. The new LAN accounts mean that gameplay settings and stats are saved to your own personal account. Thus if any new player does decide to purchase the game and play at home, all of that carries over with absolutely no fuss.
Even if you do choose to buy an account, that doesn’t mean you can’t still choose to pay for a seat as well. LANs are an excellent environment for team-based games like Heroes of Newerth. You can actually have your teammates sitting next to you and hear your opponents screaming in frustration as you “Genocide” them for a victory. This new and exciting way to experience Heroes of Newerth will prove to not only expand the player base, but could also give rise to more competitive teams in the future.
If you’re interested in going to an iGames LAN center, there is a LAN Locator on their website at http://www.igameslive.com/.
